Todd Mosby and the New Horizons Ensemble will perform at Leach Theatre in Rolla on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 7:30 pm as part of the 2017-2018 Missouri S&T Campus Performing Arts Series.
Todd Mosby and the New Horizons Ensemble engage audiences in a transformative musical journey with their unique combinations of jazz, bluegrass, folk, and classical North Indian music. The performance will include a blend of original instrumentals and timeless classics of the 60s and 70s by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and James Taylor.
St. Louis musician Todd Mosby, considered one of the finest jazz guitarists around, has played symphony halls, headlined jazz festivals, and performed across the globe. A gifted guitarist, composer, and improviser who has mastered multiple musical forms (jazz, classical and Indian raga), Mosby’s broad musical spectrum evokes highly creative works. Mosby’s band, the New Horizons Ensemble, includes percussionist Jeff Haynes, bassist Michael Manring, and multi-instrumentalist Premik Tubbs, along with jazz duo Bryan & Lola.
