The Crawford County Libraries located in Bourbon, Cuba and Steelville will be closed during the month of February in order to recode the system. This is part of the reorganization process necessary to complete the exit from the Ozark Regional Library System. We will reopen on March 1, 2018 as the Crawford County Library District, a stand-alone system.
The Crawford County Library Board of Trustees voted in July of 2017 to exit the Ozark Regional System in order to better serve the Crawford County patrons. Tax dollars that were previously spent to operate the seven libraries in the ORL system will now be kept in Crawford County and fund only the Bourbon, Cuba and Steelville libraries.
Books that have been previously checked out can be returned via the drop boxes at each library during the month of February. The Board of Trustees and the employees would like to thank everyone for their patience during this time of reorganization.
