City to seek reprieve on water testing requirements

A consultant who assists the city with its testing of wastewater at the sewage treatment plant has recommended that tests for five metals be halted because there is no evidence of their existence. If the Department of Natural Resources agrees with his assessment, it could save the city up to $12,000 per year in ongoing water analysis fees.
