Marie Gertrude Harris (nee Huffman) of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, December 24, 1918 in Whitewater, Missouri to Charley and Dora King Huffman and passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the age of 99 years, 10 months and 10 days.
Marie worked for Bakers Confectioner’s Union in St. Louis, Missouri and retired after 30 years. She moved to Cuba, Missouri in 1981. She enjoyed working in her yard, going to yard sales, playing cards with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Dora Huffman; daughter, Wanda Faye Harris; brothers, Paul, Leonard, Lester and Charles Huffman; sister, Margie (Gordan) Harris; and niece, Brenda Harris Dement.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Harris of Cuba, Missouri, Doris Kitcher of St. James, Missouri, Delbert Harris of Springfield, Missouri and William (Becky) Harris of Leasburg, Missouri; grandchildren, Shannon (Mike) Maxedon of O’Fallon, Illinois, Shane (Stacie) Harris of Imperial, Missouri, Keith (Lindy) Kitcher and Kyle (Stephanie) Kitcher, all of Union, Missouri, Kathy Brewer and Patricia Blake of Missouri; 15 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service is Monday, November 12, 2018 at noon at Baker Cemetery, Marble Hill, Missouri with Pastor Huffman officiating.
