Golden Miller of Sullivan, Missouri was born on April 20, 1927 in Bourbon, Missouri, to Charlie and Lenner (King) Payne and passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 91 years.
She attended school in Bourbon and moved to Sullivan at the age of 16.
On October 9, 1943 Golden married Walter Miller.
When Golden’s sister passed away, she took in her niece, Hazel, and raised her as her own.
Golden was a devoted Christian and member of First Assembly of God in Sullivan, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Miller; son, Dewayne Miller at age 18 due to an automobile accident; parents, Charlie and Lenner Payne; three brothers, Joseph, Herman and Edgar Payne; four sisters, Annie Ray, Opal Tourville, Kavel Sullivan and Virginia Bandy.
She is survived by her sister, Gladys Pennock of Sullivan, Missouri; special niece, Hazel Coffman of Louisiana; a host of nieces and nephews; two great nephews who called her grandma, DeWayne and Robert Coffman; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Erik Williams officiating.
Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
