Rev. Thomas Roy Slovensky Sr. of Steelville, Missouri was born on Monday, June 21, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Henry Thomas Slovensky and Vivian Marie (Campbell) Slovensky and passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Thomas graduated from Steelville High School in 1961 and attended Ranken Technical College.
He worked at Doe Run as a foreman, however his true calling was ministering. He pastored at Davisville, Berryman, Cherryville, Viburnum and Glory Hill Assembly of God outside of Potosi. He attended First Assembly of God in Steelville, Missouri and was licensed as a minister through the Assemblies of God.
Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping. He loved farming, horses and trains. Thomas loved to read and study bible prophecy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Vivian Slovensky; parents-in-law, Bertis and Zelma Boulch; sister, Joyce Marie Slovensky; and great grandson, Simon Andrew Slovensky.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Slovensky of Steelville, Missouri; children, Thomas Jr. (Regina) Slovensky of Potosi, Missouri and LaDonna (Donald) Slovensky of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Andrew (Astryd) Slovensky of Jefferson City, Missouri, Cyrus (Nicole) Slovensky, Seth (Casey) Slovensky and Matthias (fiancée April Phares) Slovensky, all of Potosi, Missouri, David Slovensky and Sarah Slovensky, both of St. Louis, Missouri; great grandchildren, Alexander, Anthony, Kaitlynn and Henry; brothers, Ronald (Tena) Slovensky of Steelville, Missouri and Terry (Sally) Slovensky of St. Charles, Missouri; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Donald) Vaughn of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating.
Burial was at the Liberty Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
