Janet Marie Colvin


    Janet Marie Colvin of St. James, Missouri was born May 15, 1944 in Rolla, Missouri to Clarence and Dorothy (Shuey) Norris and passed away on December 8, 2018 at the age of 74 years.


    Janet married Ray Lynn Colvin July 15, 1995. They enjoyed 23 years of laughter, fishing, and spending time with their grandkids.
    Janet was the most moral, honest and forgiving person there was. She loved caring for others, cooking hot meals for her family and elderly who needed it and read her Bible daily.
    Her world revolved around her grandkids and they all ran to her and jumped in her lap immediately when they saw her. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, and making flower arrangements to place on the graves of her loved ones.
    She is survived by husband Ray L. Colvin; daughters, Cindy Mankin and Pam Fann of St. James, Missouri; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kendra Wright of Austin, Texas, James Mack and Brian Mankin of St. James, Missouri, Daniel, Katrina and Natasha Underwood of Rolla, Missouri, Kevin and Stephanie Fann and Terry Fann of St. James, Missouri, Jasper Fann, Vanessa and Ryan Hull, Bentely and Cami and Maddex Riden, and Madelyn Massman, Lucas Mankin, Ryder and Mason Fann; brothers, Marvin Norris and wife Mary of St. James, Missouri and Warren and Patty Norris of Licking, Missouri; sisters, Karen Carter and husband Bill of Licking, Missouri, Linda Carlton of Rolla, Missouri and Brenda McGranahan and husband Jim of Kentucky.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Norris; five siblings, June Edmonds, Debbie Loughrige, David Norris, Wayne Norris, Dale Norris, Donald Norris and Barb Underwood; son, Danny Underwood; and grandson, Nathan Underwood.
    Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday December 12, 2018 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with John Jordan officiating.
    Burial was in the family plot at the Asher Cemetery.
