Donald Lee Turnbough


    Donald Lee Turnbough of Davisville, Missouri was born on Wednesday, April 30, 1947 in Davisville, Missouri to Cletis James Ephriam and Mildred Delight Harris Turnbough and passed away in Cherryville, Missouri on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, 2018 at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 24 days.


    Don attended Cherryville High.
    Right after school, he married Judith Alberta “Bertie” Lawrence.
    After Bertie passed away in 1978, Don met Barbara Ann Carmack whom he married on March 3, 1979 in Steelville, Missouri.
    Don accepted the Lord early in life and he and Barb attended the Evangelical Holiness Church in Cuba, Missouri.  Don was self-employed most of his life logging timber but he did work over 20 years for Fleming Manufacturing in Cuba, Missouri.  He liked to sing and play his guitar, especially to gospel music.  He loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles, 3-wheelers and four-wheelers.  
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletis and Mildred Turnbough; first wife, Judith Alberta “Bertie” Turnbough; parents-in-law, William and Jeanette Carmack; grandson, Jeremy Turnbough; and brothers-in-law, Jon Steven “Steve” Carmack and Bill Black.
    He is survived by his wife, Barb Turnbough of Davisville, Missouri; children, Jeff (Norma) Turnbough, Angela “Blondie” Turnbough, all of Cherryville, Missouri, Jane (Paul) Bullock of Steelville, Missouri, Debbie (Jeff) Moses and Bradley (Tanya) Turnbough, all of Cherryville, Missouri; grandchildren, Alicia Spycher of Cherryville, Missouri, Justin (Lacy) Turnbough of Davisville, Missouri, Dustin Bullock, Ryan (Rayauna) Zimmer, all of Steelville, Missouri, Dalton (Wendy) Turnbough of Cherryville, Missouri, Trever Bullock of Texas, Brian Turnbough of Cherryville, Missouri, Luke Bullock of Texas, Brittany (Preston) Sumpter of Bixby, Missouri, Benjamin Turnbough, Miriam Moses and Lee Moses, all of Cherryville, Missouri; great grandchildren, Trey, Bentley, Jeremy, Blake, Carlee, Jayden, Isaiah and on the way Baby Zimmer; mother-in-law, Anna Forshee of Arnold, Missouri; sister, Geraldine “Dean” Black of Cherryville, Missouri; brothers-in-law, William “Bud” (Kathy) Carmack of Lafayette, Indiana and Robert (Esther) Carmack of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
    Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Don Mitchell officiating.  
    Burial was at the Martin-Trask Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.
