Christopher Michael Dawson of Cuba, Missouri was born on December 23, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry Edward Dawson Sr. and Mary Ellen (Murray) Dawson and passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 45 years.
Chris grew up and attended school in Texas and Missouri, graduating from Bourbon High School, Class of 1993.
He married Julie Hawkins in 1998.
Chris was employed in a local steel shop and worked for many years in the drywall business with his uncle Ed Murray. He really liked the drywall business and working with his hands. Chris was a perfectionist in all aspects of his life.
He loved his boys and enjoyed spending time with them. Chris also liked to fish, ride bikes, play his drums and read his Bible.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Dawson Sr.; and two brothers, Jeremy Dawson and Harry Dawson Jr.
He is survived by two sons, Zech Dawson and wife Destiny of Sullivan, Missouri and Timothy Dawson of Sullivan, Missouri; mother, Mary Tyree of Cuba, Missouri; one brother, Shayne Dawson of Cuba, Missouri; great aunt and uncle, Ed and Penny Murray of Bourbon, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Richard and Tina Murray of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Keith and Cathy Murray of Fulton, Missouri, Donald Murray of Owensville, Missouri, Patricia Damewood of Cuba, Missouri, and Brenda Murray of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Rodney Osborne Jr. as the officiant. Cremation followed.
