Mary Katherine Eaton (nee Blankenship) of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, March 8, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Alice Katherine (Cuno) Blankenship and passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 21 days.
Mary attended school in St. Louis, Missouri.
She married John T. “JT” Eaton on May 31, 1968 in Paragould, Arkansas.
Mary accepted the Lord and had attended Center Point Baptist Church years ago. Mary worked at Brown Shoe Company in Steelville, Missouri and had also worked at Convey Shoe factory in Cuba, Missouri. She loved to watch TV, especially Little Women of Atlanta and older TV shows such as Magnum PI and Matlock. She enjoyed visiting with friends at Spare Rib.
She was preceded in death by her husband, “JT” Eaton; parents, Robert and Alice Katherine Blankenship; parents-in-law, Thurman and Frances Eaton; and brothers-in-law, Travis Eaton and Bobby Thurman.
She is survived by her sons Thomas “Tommy” Eaton of Steelville, Missouri, Shannon Eaton of Plato, Missouri and John Keith “Johnny” Eaton of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandchildren, Alison Neal of Newburg, Missouri, Katherine Eaton and Kaylee Eaton, both of Plato, Missouri and Alyssa Nichole Eaton of Atlanta, Georgia; great grandson, Gunner Neal of Newburg, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Tony Eaton, David (Linda) Eaton, Cloyce Eaton, all of Paragould, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Sue Thurman of Paragould, Arkansas, Sharon (Ron) Mays of Batesville, Arkansas, Loyce (David) Saylor of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Tammy Pannells of Little Rock, Arkansas; special friends, Melinda (Danny) Medlock of Salem, Missouri, Norma Trowbridge, Gean Young, Ann Frazier, Sonny (Bonnie) Haffer, Roger Barr, Dorothy Roland and Michael “Tiny” Keen, all of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service followed at 7 p.m. with Rev. Alan Miles officiating.
Burial was at the New Friendship Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
