Shirley Jane Wymer (nee Roach) of Bourbon, Missouri was born on November 18, 1929 in Bourbon, Missouri to William L. Roach Sr. and Eleanor J. (Cummings) Roach and passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the age of 89 years.
She graduated from Bourbon High School in 1948.
Shirley married Clifford M. Wymer on December 24, 1949.
Through the years, she was employed by St. Louis Trust Co. for two years, Paramount Cap Co. for nine and a half years, and Proctor Counter Co. for a short time. Shirley was then employed by The Bank of Bourbon from January 1960 until her retirement, 30 years later.
Shirley enjoyed fishing and camping, she loved dogs, birds, squirrels, deer and other animals. She raised flowers both outside and inside of her home and she also gardened. Shirley also liked to work on her family’s genealogy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Wymer; her parents, William Lyle Roach Sr. and Eleanor Juanita Cummings; and three brothers, William Lyle Roach Jr. and his wife Alice, Francis Gentry Roach and wife Ginger and Albert Floyd Roach.
She is survived by her special nephews, Kevin Roach of Bourbon, Missouri and Keith Roach of Bourbon, Missouri; sister-in-law, Harlene Roach of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Mike Delashmitt officiating.
Burial followed in the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
