Rae Jean Hart of St. James, Missouri was born on May 16, 1931 in Owensville, Missouri to Zelma Richardson and Oscar Aytes and passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the age of 87 years.
She was united in marriage to Nelson Hart on August 16, 1953.
Rae Jean was an avid golfer and she was very proud of her three hole-in-ones. She enjoyed being outdoors and working with her flowers and ferns. Rae Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed her Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Hart; mother, Zelma Ayes; father, Oscar Aytes; and brothers, Oscar Aytes Jr. and James Aytes.
She is survived by daughters, Vicki Hart of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Terri DeLuca and husband Dan of St. James, Missouri; grandsons, Dustin (Katie) DeLuca, Jeremy (Sara) Deluca, Dominic (Kristen) DeLuca; great grandchildren, Claire, Sohie, Jonas, Caden, Will, Addison and Elaina DeLuca, all of St. James, Missouri; sister, Bonnie (Richard) Hengstenberg of Owensville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Stephen Brubaker officiating.
Burial was in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.
