Jerry Lindell Stricklin was born October 2, 1950 in Bixby, Missouri to Lawrence and Rosie Chandler Stricklin and passed away January 6, 2019 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 4 days.
Jerry grew up in Bixby, Keysville and Steelville, Missouri. He lived in many places, including various cities in Missouri and California.
In 1993 he moved to Edgar Springs, Missouri, where he remained until August of 2015, when he entered Cuba Manor.
Jerry worked at various jobs, including mechanic, punch press operator, maintenance man and logger. He was a hard worker and often held down two or three jobs at one time.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Rosie Stricklin; three brothers, Eugene, Charlie, and Paul Stricklin; two sisters, Ruby Stricklin Garton and infant Verla Mae Stricklin; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Lynch and Roy Vriese.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Robison Stricklin of the home; two children, Sherry (Arthur) O’Brien and Jerry Stricklin Jr. of Springfield, Missouri; their mother, Donna McCormick Stricklin of Springfield, Missouri; one granddaughter, Samantha Kaylynn O’Brien of Springfield, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Donnie (Mary) Stricklin of Cherryville, Missouri, Alberta Lynch, Janet Vriese, Brenda (Gene) Blocker, all of California, Ronnie Stricklin of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Jimmy Stricklin of Keysville, Missouri and Velma Plementosh of South Carolina; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Wicker Room at Cuba, Manor.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. on June 1, 2019 at Pump Cemetery in Bixby, Missouri.
