Impact 100 looks to continue growing in Crawford County

Impact 100 Crawford County is looking for a few good women. One hundred good women, to be exact.

Impact 100 Crawford County is a giving organization made up of women from the county. The growing organization has a goal of reaching 100 members that will help raise funds for other nonprofits doing great work within the community.

Each woman involved makes a $500 tax-deductible donation to Impact 100 Crawford County, and those funds are pooled to use as grants for other nonprofits in the county supporting five main areas: 1) art, culture and tourism; 2) parks, recreation and community betterment; 3) education; 4) health and wellness; or 5) families.

In its first year, Impact 100 had 54 members, and it grew to 59 members in the second year. It has given out $56,500 in funding grants to local nonprofits, and best of all, that money has stayed in Crawford County to help better the lives of its residents.

Businesses can help the organization reach its goal of having 100 members by sponsoring a woman to become a new member with a $500 tax-deductible contribution. Another way to support Impact 100 Crawford County is to become a “friend” of Impact 100 by making donations to help fund the annual awards dinner and other recruitment events.

All Impact 100 members and friends are invited to the grant awards dinner that will be held on Thursday, September 26.
