Joyce Sims


    Joyce Sims of O’Fallon, Missouri was born August 2, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Elmer R. and Norma R, (nee Hammer) Kespohl and passed away on April 13, 2019 at the age of 93 years.


    Joyce was a devout member of the Dardenne Presbyterian Church. She spent her time as a volunteer at Mary Martha’s in Wentzville, Missouri.
    Joyce loved to travel and was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan.
    She married John Sims.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Kespohl; mother, Norma Kespohl; spouse, John R. Sims; and brother, Richard Kespohl.
    She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey R. (Marise) Sims of St. Peters, Missouri and John S. Sims of O’Fallon, Missouri; daughter, Jana R. Kostecki of St. Peters, Missouri; grandchildren, Shaun (Beth) Sims, Carissa (Nick) Ewing, Becky Rabe, Geran (Anne) Kostecki and Lauren (Billy) Ekiss; great grandchildren, Keegan, Colton, Brock, Lillian and Clara; sister-in-law, Joan Kesphol of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Dardenne Presbyterian Church in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Dardenne Presbyterian Church, Dardenne Prairie, Missouri.
    Burial was in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
