Brian Arthur Turner

    Brian Arthur Turner of Steelville, Missouri was born on Friday, January 9, 1959 in Houston, Missouri to Harold Ivan and Lanaye Valentine Cross Turner and passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 9 days.

    Brian grew up in Licking, Missouri and attended Licking Schools.
    He married Barbara Maye Holt on October 6, 1979 in Licking, Missouri.
    He accepted the Lord early in life and attended a Baptist church near Raymondville, Missouri. He worked as a painter and drywall installer, he built cabins out at the game ranch in Cook Station, Missouri and was a co-owner of Family Inheritance on Main Street in Steelville, Missouri.
    Brian was a member of the Painter’s Union in St. Robert, Missouri. Brian used to raise chickens and did that for many years. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, trapping animals and gardening. He also enjoyed sitting and visiting with people in he and Barb’s store, talking to friends at the coffee shop and telling stories.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lanaye Turner; parents-in-law, Lester and Viola Holt; kid brother, Joe Turner; and two sisters-in-law. Vicki Eiffert and Brenda Holt.
    He is survived by his wife, Barbara Turner of Steelville, Missouri; daughter, Brandy (Adam) Duncan of Perryville, Missouri; two grandsons, Wyatt and Gavan Duncan of Perryville, Missouri; brothers, Bruce Turner of Big Piney, Missouri, Harold “Snuffy” (Jane) Turner of Houston, Missouri, Gary Stark of Clinton, Arkansas; sisters, Carol (Mark “Moose”) Hartman of Raymondville, Missouri, Donna (Doug) Underwood of Farmington, Missouri and Paulette (Dean) Turner-Atwood of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sisters-in-law, Virginia (Roger) Bates of Tennessee and Karen (Ralph) Backues of Licking, Missouri; brother-in-law, Roy (fiancée Carlene) Holt of Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Craddock Cemetery, Licking, Missouri.
