BHS principal receives accolade from her peers

The South Central Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals selected Bourbon High School Principal Dena Smith as the 2018-2019 High School Principal of the Year last week. Smith was nominated by one of her peers in the South Central region and then was selected through a vote by South Central high school and middle school principals.

Smith will now be eligible to run for Missouri High School Principal of the Year through the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals at their fall conference. Mrs. Smith is completing her 16th year in the Crawford County R-I School District, but will be leaving the Bourbon District to serve as Superintendent of Schools in the Osage County R-II School District in Linn beginning in July.
