The St. James Municipal Utilities Board met with members of the St. James City Council on Monday night to discuss the need of raising water and sewer rates. The average increase customers will see is $4 for sewer and $3 for water and the additional money generated will help the city make infrastructure improvements required by law and in an agreement between the city and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
