Employee Campaign funds phototherapy blanket for mother and baby unit at MBSH

The Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Employee Campaign generously funded a GE Bilisoft Phototherapy System.  The funds were raised in 2018 through friendly competition with Fidelity Communications, BJC Home Care and MBSH.

This Phototherapy System is used to treat infants for jaundice while still being swaddled and held.  The generous donation allows infants to be treated while not affecting the bonding of mother and infant as the mom is able to hold and bond with her infant during treatment.  Michelle Koons, MBSH Mother Baby Unit Nurse Manager said “We are grateful for the donation which allows us to provide the best care possible while still fostering an environment of bonding.”
