    David H. Greenwalt of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, January 6, 1949 at Steelville, Missouri to Harold and Mildred (nee Adams) Greenwalt and passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the age of 70 years.

    David was a graduate of Steelville High School.
    He married Ella Jo Gilliam on September 3, 1971 at the Lookout Church of Viburnum, Missouri.
    David was a retired member of the United Auto Workers Union. He built motor fans for 30 years and after Switzer closed, he went to work at Briggs and Stratton for six years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his yard. He spent hours mowing, trimming shrubs and brush. His garden was always amazing. He had a green thumb and his vegetables were enjoyed by family and friends.
    David was a 40+ year member of the Assembly of God Church of Steelville and spreading the gospel was one of David’s favorite things to do.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Greenwalt; wife, Ella Jo Greenwalt; and father-in-law, Eugene Keith Vance.
    He is survived by his children, Chris and wife Casey Greenwalt of Cuba, Missouri and Melissa Greenwalt of Cuba, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jasey, Holdynn, Addy, Fierce and Isla Jo; mother, Mildred Greenwalt of Steelville, Missouri; three brothers, Roger and wife Nancy Greenwalt of Potosi, Missouri, Ronnie and wife Janie Greenwalt of Steelville, Missouri and Larry and wife Martha Greenwalt of Sullivan, Missouri; three sisters, Karen Stovall and companion James Rice of Stanton, Missouri, Connie and husband Phil Watson of Versailles, Missouri and Judy and husband Charlie White of Steelville, Missouri; mother-in-law, Anna Vance of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and wife Darla Vance of Cherryville, Missouri, Herman and wife Darlene Vance of Steelville, Missouri, Ronnie and wife Laura Vance of Helds Island, Missouri, Lena and husband Kevin Medley of Belgrade, Missouri, Ethel and husband Wayne Medley of Bixby, Missouri, Fay and husband Larry Conduitt of Cuba, Missouri, Anna Lea and husband Rick Edgar of Steelville, Missouri, Fern and husband Rodney Conaway of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating. Special recorded music was “Daddy’s Hands,” “I Can Only Imagine” and “Wait to You See My Brand New Home.”
    Interment and prayers followed at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
    Casket bearers were Curtis Medley, Brent White, Daulton Conaway, Alan Edgar, Lane Martin and Blake Vance. Honorary casket bearers were Holdynn Greenwalt, Fierce Greenwalt, Terry Rice and Duane Stovall.
