Steelville Pool recently opened its gates for the 2019 summer season. The hours of operation are noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Daily admission is $3 per person or $40 for an individual season pass. Family passes can be purchased for $100. Children three and under swim for free.
Two sessions of swim lessons will be held for the season. The first session will be held June 17 to 21 from 10 a.m. to noon, and the second session will be July 8 through 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Lessons are $35 per person for the one-week session. Anyone interested only needs to attend one session but is welcome to attend both.
The pool will be hosting several special events over the summer months such as Teen Night, water aerobics, and Adult Swim Hour. Teens ages 10 to 18 can come and enjoy a night swim on Friday, June 7 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission will be $3 per person and concessions will be open.
A one-hour swim for adults will also be held every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Adults can enjoy a refreshing hour in the pool for only $1 per person per hourly session. Water aerobics will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. on scheduled days and are $2 per person, with a minimum of 10 people.
