Tony nominee and former Bourbon resident Taylor Louderman is hosting a Broadway Beginnings Workshop on Thursday, June 20.
The event is sponsored by the Sullivan Area Arts Council and will take place at the Sullivan Performing Arts Theater on East Vine Street. The cost for SAAC members is $30 and $35 for non-members. All participants must be registered by Friday, June 7. Forms are available at the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce and at the Scenic Regional Library Sullivan Branch.
The workshop is for children entering grade 3 through 12 and will be split into two sessions. Session one will be for grades 3 through 6 and will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Session two will be for grades 7 through 12 and will be form 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Ozark Actors Theatre is also hosting Louderman’s workshop on June 17. More information can be found at www.ozarkactorstheatre.org.
Louderman is currently playing the role of Regina George in MEAN GIRLS on Broadway. She previously starred as “Lauren” in Kinky Boots on Broadway and is set to reprise her role this summer at the MUNY in St. Louis June 7-26. Louderman trained with STAGES St. Louis, Muny Teens, and Ozark Actors Theater, among others and has several television credits.
