GOP cheats while Dems follow rules

Just the latest example of the GOP’s lack of principle: Remember when Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia passed away suddenly, and Mitch McConnell shirked his constitutional duty by refusing to seat Merrick Garland for about a year? Remember how he totally made up a non-existent precedent that Supreme Court seats should remain vacant during election years?

Well, you’ll be shocked to find out it was all baloney. Recently, McConnell was asked the question, "Should a Supreme Court justice die next year, what will your position be on filling that spot?"
According to reports, the senator from Kentucky smiled and responded, "Oh, we’d fill it." Later, Senator McConnell’s spokesman, David Popp, made it even clearer, by explaining that when McConnell blocked Judge Merrick Garland’s nomination, the White House was controlled by a Democrat. Now, it’s controlled by a Republican.
The Democratic Party will continue to lose so long as Republicans play dirty and we keep playing fair. We should remember, the Republican party is not a party of principle.
