Vincent Vito DePaulo


    Vincent Vito DePaulo of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday, September 4, 1938 in St. Louis City, Missouri to Luigi and Providenca “Frances” Narcia DePaulo and passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 2 days.


    Vincent served his country honorably in the National Guard and Reserves for eight years.
    He married Kathleen Susan Hall on December 5, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri.
    He worked at Brown Shoe in Steelville and Mar-Bal, Inc. in Cuba, Missouri.
    Vincent enjoyed family BBQs and fishing with his wife Kathy. He was a member of the Pigeon Racing Club in Belleview, Illinois and many referred to him as “Pigeon Man.” He raised pigeons and often gave them away to new people interested to keep the club going. He and his son-in-law Jeff enjoyed racing pigeons. He thought of him as the son he never had.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Frances DePaulo; parents-in-law, Woodrow and Dorothy Hall; grandson, Michael Richardson; brother-in-law, Rudy Nowack; and niece, Danielle Stricklin.
    He is survived by his wife, Kathy DePaulo of Steelville, Missouri; daughters, Jacqueline (Jeff) Richardson of Davisville, Missouri and Gina DePaulo of Joplin, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tyler Garrison and Megan Garrison of Joplin, Missouri and Dakota Richardson and Malachi Richardson of Davisville, Missouri; sister, Cora DePaulo of Las Vegas, Nevado; sisters-in-law, Mary (Hollywood) Stricklin of Cherryville, Missouri, Virginia (Todd) Cox and Sandra Nowack, both of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers-in-law, David (Pearl) Owens of Springfield, Missouri and Ronnie (Debbie) Hall of Miami, Florida; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation is Friday, June 14, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. with memorial service to immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Mike Mounce officiating.
    Burial at the Cherryville Baptist Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri with full military honors.
