Atilano Edward Poebla of Sullivan, Missouri was born on November 19, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to Atilano “Tony” and Frances (Cohitminagao) Poebla and passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the age of 80 years.
On October 8, 1965 Ed married Rhonda Kay Kimberlin in Bourbon, Missouri.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bourbon, Missouri and sang in the choir for 20 years.
Ed joined the Marine Corps on October 29, 1956 and was discharged in October 1960.
Ed became a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in 1981 and served as an officer for 33 years and was president for three years.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Poebla of Sullivan, Missouri; six children, Colby Ann Williams, Chris McCance and wife Jo Ann, Shelby Boehmer and fiancé David Blankenship, Kelly Laird and husband Ron, Darci Thornton and fiancé Glenn Gawer and Dax Poebla and wife Alicia; three brothers, Frank Poebla, Gilbert Poebla and Robert Poebla, all of the state of Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with a memorial service at 7 p.m. by the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3781.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Suzanne Nicholson officiating.
Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
