Hamilton headed to National High School Rodeo Finals

The Missouri High School Rodeo State Finals were held May 29 through June 2 at the Lucky J Arena in Carthage, Missouri where the top High School Rodeo athletes from Missouri, and neighboring states Nebraska and Kansas, competed for their chance for a State Championship title.

The top four in each event will represent Missouri at the National High School Rodeo Finals held in Rock Springs, Wyoming July 14-20. Ciera Hamilton, a recent graduate from John F. Hodge High School in St. James, finished her last High School Rodeo season as the 2019 Pole Bending State Champion and Top-4 in Barrel Racing. This is the second consecutive year for Hamilton to earn the Pole Bending State Championship title. She and her equine athletes “Brownie” and “Mickey,” will travel to Rock Springs, Wyoming in July to represent Missouri at the National High School Rodeo Finals.
