Richard L. “Ricky” Roberts was born on November 3, 1953 in Sullivan, Missouri to Arless Emerson Roberts Sr. and Orpha Marie (King) Roberts and passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the age of 65 years.
Richard Lee, known as Ricky, attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, Class of 1972. Ricky took courses in banking and was employed by Mercantile Bank for 25 years.
Ricky and his partner, Ted, were blessed with 18 years together. They enjoyed taking drives in the country and antiquing. He cooked for his family and loved using his mom’s recipes. Ricky loved decorating for Christmas and having everyone over for a holiday meal. He was known to have a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arless Sr. and Orpha Roberts; one brother, James Roberts; and in-laws, Tom and Mary Stevenson.
He is survived by his partner, Ted Stevenson of Fenton, Missouri; three siblings: Arless Emerson Roberts Jr. and wife Peggy of Bourbon, Missouri, Dale Roberts and wife Val of Washington, Missouri and Nancy Mann and husband James of Quinlan, Texas; other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Burial of his cremains followed in the Cave Spring Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
