Connie “Joanne” Hubbs of Boss, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 24, 1939 to Alan and Margaret (Meade) Sullivan and passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the age of 80 years.
Joanne lived in Boss, Missouri most of her life. When her father left when she was a child, her mother re-married Clyde Camden. This is who Joanne called dad.
After leaving home Joanne worked in Salem, Missouri for several clothing factories, including, Hagales and International Shoe. She also worked for Amex Lead Company and Bailey Genco.
She collected postcards and loved bluegrass music. She loved to crack walnuts and cook.
In her later years she loved watching Brad’s cattle and visiting with company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Margaret Camden; son, Gregory Lee Hubbs; and nephew, Kevin Sullivan.
She is survived by her children, Brad Hubbs and wife Mellisa of Viburnum, Missouri, Angie Brooks and husband Barry of Viburnum, Missouri, Jequetta Curley and husband Mike of Viburnum, Missouri, Vanessa Roper and husband Rodney of Wappapello, Missouri, and Darrich Hubbs, of Viburnum, Missouri; brother, Johnsy “Gerald” Sullivan, of Salem, Missouri; step-brother, Montie Camden and wife Marilyn, of Festus, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in Salem, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastors Paul Davis, and Melvin Meade officiating.
Internment was at the Camden Cemetery in Boss, Missouri.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jason Brooks, Ronnie Roper, Tyler Hedrick, Ethan Hedrick, Brant Hubbs, Brandon Hubbs and Brayson Hubbs. Matt Elder served as honorary pallbearer.
