The St. James Kiwanis Club is holding its annual gun raffle for the Grape and Fall Festival. Tickets are on sale now for those wanting a chance to win a .22 caliber Winchester Golden Boy, with the raffle taking place on Saturday night.
Tickets are on sale now from any Kiwanian for $1 per ticket, six for $5, 13 for $10, or 27 for $20. Kiwanis Club members have tickets available for purchase from any member or a booth will be set up at the annual Grape and Fall Festival street market, as well as on the fairgrounds.
The club holds fundraisers annually to generate funding for programs such as boys basketball, youth volleyball, k-kids, Jump Into Health, builders club, and more. Kiwanis Club members just finished their annual Pancake Day over the weekend, something they have done for more than 45 years, and continue to look at ways to expand support for the community, specifically the children who will one day become adults and continue the support current members have of the community.
All proceeds go to programs that directly help the kids of St. James. Kiwanis holds many different activities each year to enrich the lives of students in the district through activities each year and the annual raffle and pancake day sales make these events possible.
Anyone interested in purchasing tickets can visit the group’s St. James Kiwanis Club Facebook to find a Kiwanian. Club members can also answer any questions the community might have about the club, who is affected by annual programs, or on how to become a club volunteer. Every dollar raised by the Kiwanis Club stays in the community and directly aids children living here. The winner will does not have to be on site during the drawing and the club will contact them to arrange pickup.
