Team Remember Me, a local volunteer group for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, will be holding a Dine n’ Donate night at the Rolla Colton’s Steakhouse & Grill, located at 1675 North Bishop, on Tuesday, September 17 from 4 to 9 p.m. Anyone who purchases dinner during the event will have a portion of the cost of their meal go towards the Walk to End Alzheimer’s organization.
All meal purchases will provide additional funds for Team Remember Me, which has already raised over $1,000 through a 5k race earlier this year, along with other donations already accepted. Team organizer Julie Felan hopes to meet this year’s goal of $2,500 and those eating during the evening will help her team raise necessary funds to go towards raising Alzheimer’s awareness and to fund an eventual cure. Team Remember Me is a part of the Rolla Walk to End Alzheimer’s non-profit organization, which provides events throughout Phelps County for the cause.
Anyone dining during the hours will have a portion of their meals’ cost donated to the cause, without any need of special signage or information. Donation canisters will also be set up on site for those wanting to give a monetary donation.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Teams throughout the county hold annual events to raise money for the cause, which culminates in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s held each year in Rolla. This year, the event will take place on September 21 in the Lion’s Club Park, located at 1061 South Bishop (US Highway 63) in Rolla beginning at 8 a.m.
