Harvey R. Farris of Sullivan, Missouri, formerly of Bland, Missouri, was born on December 14, 1933 to Floyd N. and Lora S. (Jett) Farris and passed away on October 9, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
Harvey attended Owensville High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
On November 23, 1956, Harvey married Ida Viola Shockley.
He was employed at Cassen Transport in Fenton for many years loading cars for taking to dealerships. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Union and was a Shriner.
Harvey was a working man and liked to stay busy and he enjoyed hunting and fishing when he had the time. Harvey had a natural talent for playing any instrument and enjoyed playing music. He liked to watch boxing matches on TV.
He was preceded in death by his wife on April 23, 2016; and four brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Randy Farris of Bourbon, Missouri and Timothy Farris of Union, Missouri; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Bland Union Cemetery in Bland, Missouri.
