On Friday, Nov. 8, Mound Ridge Mission and Retreat Center will be holding a community fundraiser at Peaceful Bend Winery starting at 6:30 pm. This event is to support the sustainability of Mound Ridge and to allow the community to be more acquainted with them.
The night will start with a wine tasting and appetizers, followed by a gourmet dinner of smoked brisket and chicken with garden salad, mashed potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts prepared by Chef August Rolufs. There will also be live music during the event.
Mound Ridge will also be raffling a low-mileage 1990 red Corvette convertible to raise additional funds. Tickets are $20 per ticket or $100 for six tickets. Raffle tickets are available through Julie Settles at FCNB Insurance in Steelville, Imo’s Pizza in Sullivan, or by calling Mound Ridge. The raffle winner will be announced at the dinner and you do not need to be present to win.
Mound Ridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in near Maramec Spring Park along the upper Meramec River. Mound Ridge is a retreat center where families and groups can relax and refresh in nature. Mound Ridge hosts summer camps for children, drivers ed classes, and is open for mission groups to do service work.
