Charles “Jammer” Michael Fuhring

    Charles “Jammer” Michael Fuhring of St. James, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri on August 29, 1957 to Charles and Vista (Brown) Fuhring and passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

    Charles was a graduate of John F. Hodges High School in St. James, Missouri, Class of 1975.
    He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, and Cardinal baseball. He really enjoyed getting together with family and friends, telling stories and reminiscing about days gone by.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Vesta Fuhring; and grandparents, William and Clara Fuhring and Edward and Clara Brown.
    He is survived by his father, Charles Fuhring of St. James, Missouri; children, Spenser Fuhring of California and daughter, Charlynn Portell and husband Michael of Cuba, Missouri; grandchildren, Charles, Riley, Cullen and Maggie; sister, Valda Mahaney and husband Greg of St. James, Missouri; brother, Kevin Fuhring of St. James, Missouri;  nieces, Vanessa Culwell and husband Jon and their children, Jaxton, Braxton and Ava, and Abbey Auxier and husband Luke; nephews, Ivan and Devin Fuhring; other relatives and friends.
    As per his wishes Charles was cremated with a private service to be held at a later date.
    Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
