Betty Ann Williams of St. James, Missouri was born February 8, 1928 in St. James to Charles N. and Alma Swyers Smallwood and passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the age of 91 years, 8 month and 9 days.
She married Cecil Williams in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1960.
Betty was raised on the family farm south of St. James, Missouri and enjoyed the duties of the farm. She inherited her mother’s ability to cook and was known for her light rolls and kept her mother’s cherished recipe that was wrote on the inside of a box.
After her marriage she and her husband owned and operated Mid-America Express a trucking company in Oklahoma.
After retirement Betty and Cecil retired to the lake in Oklahoma. After her husband’s passing she moved back to St. James, Missouri to be near family and enjoyed cooking for family events and worshiped at the St. James Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on April 23, 1991; and one sister, Evelyn Welker.
She is survived by one sister, Letty Licklider of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Jim Smallwood of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Brother Lynn Huggins officiating.
Burial was at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
