John W. “Johnny” Seitz of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, April 14, 1941 in Cuba, Missouri to John F. and Mildred M. (nee Stack) Seitz and passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the age of 78 years.
Johnny was the longtime owner and operator of John W. Seitz Well Drilling & Pump Service. He spent 62 years helping others with their wells and pumps.
In his spare time, Johnny enjoyed deer hunting, turkey hunting, squirrel hunting and hunting trips out west. Every spring, for many years, he would plant a garden and share all the vegetables with his family and friends.
Johnny was known for always being fair, honest and a second father to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Seitz; and one brother, Earl Seitz.
He is survived by his three children, John S. Seitz and fianceé Joanna Daughtery of Cuba, Missouri, Sue A. and husband Jeff Butler of Rolla, Missouri and William E. Seitz of Cuba, Missouri; one sister Nancy and husband Lee Layton of Steelville, Missouri; eight grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Interment followed at the Mounts Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Greg Bonnett, Sam Boise, Michael Bonnett, Jory Seitz, Joe Medwick, Jeff Yanskey, Hoyt McPherson and Tiff Knowlton.
