Bourbon School Board gives okay to $200,000 health insurance payment

    Like several other area school districts, the Bourbon School District was recently forced to pay a hefty health insurance assessment due to a shortfall in premiums to cover more than $6 million in benefit claims. The district is part of a 22-school health insurance consortium that operated on a self-funded plan managed by United Health Care (UHC).
