Carol “Janet” Walls of St. James, Missouri was born on September 4, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ned and Ella Mae (Honey) Brewer and passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the age of 76 years.
She married James Walls on November 6, 1960.
Janet worked for many years for Nickerson Farms. She was part of the management team. She also for Hiland Dairy and was a make-up consultant.
Janet was a vary active member of the St. James First Baptist Church.
She enjoyed shopping. She attended sporting events and school functions of her grandchildren. The entire family would get together at least once a year for a trip to Branson, Missouri where they would spend a few days enjoying the entertainment and all the fun, and food Branson had to offer.
Janet was an incredible cook and she really enjoyed it. She would make Sunday dinners, and cook for every holiday.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ned and Ella Mae; and her brother, Kenneth Brewer.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Walls of the home; children, James Walls of St. James, Missouri and Robin Collier and husband Ron of Rolla, Missouri; special niece, Michelle Woodruff of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, William (Christine) Fisher, Calista (Matthew) Hixenbaugh, and Madison Collier; great grandchildren, Coley and Luna Hixenbaugh, and Deegan Fisher; sister, Betty Cornelius of Ohio; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Baumann officiating.
Internment was at the Adams Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gene Casarotto, Ed Walls, Mike Conway, Ron Collier, Dale Collier and Dan Collier. Wayne Bledsoe served as honorary pallbearer.
