Osage Nation Chief will speak at library dinner

    The Crawford County Library District has announced that it will hosts its First Annual Friends of the Library Dinner on January 10 at Recklein Auditorium in Cuba. The event will include two guest speakers from the Osage Nation.


    Dr. Sean Siebert will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening, which will get underway with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Then, at 7:30 p.m., Siebert will introduce guest speakers Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear of the Osage Nation, and Johnny Williams, senior advisor to the chief. Closing remarks will be provided by Library Director Elizabeth Outar, who will share what 2020 will hold for the library.
    Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at Frisco’s Grill and Pub in Cuba, Town & Country Bank in Bourbon, or at the library branches in Bourbon, Cuba, and Steelville.
