Annette Whitmire

Annette Whitmire of Rolla, Missouri was born on March 17, 1957 in Manhattan, New York to Vincent and Rose (Falletta) Martarano and passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

On July 12, 1980 she married William C. “Chuck” Whitmire Jr.
Annette grew up in the inner city of Manhattan, New York and would move to Brooklyn, New York during her teen years with her parents.  This shy little girl began to follow Jesus early on in life in a little Italian Pentecostal church in New York.  She graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in Pennsylvania and then went on to Burge School of Nursing in Springfield, Missouri to become a registered nurse.
Annette and Chuck embarked on a life of ministry together.  From Victory Mission in Springfield, Missouri to First Assembly in Steeleville, Missouri and then to their current church, Rolla First Assembly of God, they would serve Christ together.
Through the years she was involved in teaching, Junior Bible Quiz, preaching, mission trips, women’s ministry, writing poetry, publishing two books, and entertaining in her home.  She would never let her loved ones give up on their dreams, and she backed that up with her own life and the courage she exhibited in fighting cancer.  She was never one to complain, but continued to “Climb her Mountain” in life and has now made it to the summit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Rose Martarano; and father-in-law, William C. Whitmire on December 7, 2017.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Whitmire of Rolla, Missouri; three sons, Kyle Whitmire and wife Melanie of Fulton, Missouri, Ryan Whitmire of Madria, Spain and Tyler Whitmire and wife Erica of Voorhees, New Jersey; one daughter, Aimee Whitmire of Rolla, Missouri; her children by heart, Joe Ragan and wife Erin of North Carolina and Prabhu Angajala of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Vincent Martarano and wife Theresa of Staten Island, New York; sister, Rosemarie Iraci of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Marek Whitmire, Keira Whitmire, Maylen Whitmire, Kenley Whitmire and Mila Whitmire; three grandchildren by heart, Evelyn Ragan, Annalyn Ragan and Charles Ragan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Stewart Carmier of Salem, Missouri; and mother-in-law, Shirley Whitmire of Salem, Missouri.
