Arlene Jean Alexander (nee Holum) of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, October 13, 1936 in Litchfield, Minnesoto to Martin and Myrtle Anderson Holum and passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 22 days.
Arlene married Noel K. “Jack” Alexander on December 16, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri.
She owned and operated Arlene’s Gifts and Crafts in Cuba, Missouri for several years. She then was bookkeeper for Alexander Muffler and Brake.
After retirement, Arlene and Jack enjoyed many years wintering in South Texas. Arlene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Myrtle Holum; son, Jonnie Johnson; daughter, Kyle Gwen Gross; four brothers; two sisters; and brother-in-law, Keith Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Alexander of Cuba, Missouri; daughters, Vikki Nowling of Humble, Texas and Nancy Gambrel of Houston, Texas; son, Timothy (Diana) Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri; step son, Douglas (Donna) Alexander of Rolla, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Donna Miller of Tucson, Arizona and Debbie (Bob) Templeton of Hickory, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Jim Moore officiating.
