Chirico starts internship at Saint James Press

Jadyn Chirico is a junior at John F. Hodge High School, and now an intern for the Saint James Press. She began her internship at the newspaper in January of 2020 with the intention to become educated on what it's like to work in the field of journalism, which she plans to study when she attends college in the fall of 2021, possibly at the University of Missouri.

Chirico has had an interest in writing since she was in first grade, when she would write short stories. Soon, she got into writing poetry and novels. She decided that she wanted to become a published author, and even get into the journalism field where she could write more and share it with others. Aside from writing, Chirico likes to do photography, paint, and travel whenever she can.
She lives in St. James with her parents and two of her three siblings. She has a sister who is 11, a brother who is 14, and a 20 year-old sister who is currently serving in the United States Navy.
Chirico is a creative person with a love for different forms of art and writing, which she hopes to develop into a career someday. Until then, she works towards her goal everyday by writing at home and now for the Saint James Press.
