Historic preservation ordinance will be reworked, not abandoned, mayor assures former commission chair

    At the January 7 meeting of the Cuba City Council, Mayor Ray Mortimeyer told Marilyn Stewart, the former chairperson of the Historic Preservation Commission, the city has no plans to completely abandon its existing historic preservation ordinance but will be working to repeal and replace it since it hasn’t been enforced for more than a decade.
