County budgets $3.1 million for law enforcement

    Fighting crime is a costly venture, one that is anticipated to cost the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) more than $3.1 million in 2020. Of that, the vast majority is budgeted from the jail fund at close to $2.4 million, but the sheriff’s department also takes a chunk out of the county’s $3.2 million general revenue fund—a piece that totals a little over $616,000.
