Michael L. “Mike” Guess

    Michael L. “Mike” Guess was born June 3, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Leroy “Frank” and Mary (Holland) Guess and passed away on February 22, 2020 at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 19 days.

    Mike graduated Steelville High School, Class of 1977.  He then proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
    He worked for many years as a school bus driver for Steelville Schools, while serving as a patrolman for the Steelville Police Department, where he retired as Chief of Police.
    After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV, and doing security for Bad Boyz fireworks. Mike accepted the Lord as his savior at a young age, but grew closer to the Lord in his later years.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy “Frank” Guess, Mary Holland Guess and Frances A. Guess; sister, Beverly Burke; brother, Frankie Guess; son, Kyle Wayne Anderson; and his Rottweiler, Spice Girl.
    He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Harris) Guess of Affton, Missouri; his children  from his previous marriage to Sandy (Hatton)  Mitchell; daughter, Latisha (Guess) Treece and husband Mark of Leasburg, Missouri; son, Michael A. Guess of Troy, Missouri; daughter, RaChelle (Guess) Littich and husband Aaron of O’Fallon, Missouri and son, Gregory McDonald and fianceé Raven Dugger of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren,  Lillian, Madeline and Olivia Treece, Ailish Guess, Noah and Isaiah Littich and Ava and Maverick McDonald; in-laws, Betty and Bob Figge and Dave and Joyce Hatton; sisters, Sharon Gott and husband Clyde, Brenda Fields and husband Keith and Tammy Knight; brothers-in-law, Marvin Harris, and Rod Hatton and wife Debbie; sisters-in-laws, Sherry Lynn and Sherry Ann; other relatives and friends.
    Memorial visitation held from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the  Kutis Affton Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri.
