Gale Lee “Bubby” Kramer of Sullivan, Missouri was born April 18, 1943 in Sullivan, Missouri to Max and Anna (Brewer) Kramer and passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 76 years.
After his school years in Sullivan, Missouri he entered the US Navy, a lifelong dream, to serve his country. While in the Navy, Bubby served during the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Bubby worked for the Chrysler Corp. and then Peterson Oil Company before his retirement.
Bubby married Judy Marks Nanninga on October 23, 2004 in Sullivan, Missouri.
In his spare time he liked hunting, fishing, spending time with his pets and visiting with his many friends and family.
Bubby loved Sappington Bridge where he enjoyed sitting and watching the river. He also enjoyed BBQing and was a master griller. Bubby also had a strong passion for gardening and growing flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Anna Kramer.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Kramer; four children, Janet Galaske and husband Stu of St. Louis, Missouri, Angie Witt and husband Jeff of Sullivan, Missouri, J.J. Kramer and wife Nikki of Weatherby Lake, Missouri and Zachary Kramer and wife Lori of Liberty, Missouri; three siblings, Gary Kramer of Sullivan, Missouri, Jane “Suzanne” Reed and husband, George of Cuba, Missouri and Michelle Schaefer and Denny Bruns of Sullivan, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Alexandria Witt, Emily Witt, Patrick Galaske, Mary Galaske, Leila Kramer, Ella Kramer, Samuel Kramer and Abigail Kramer; his dog, K.J.; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life gathering was held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Eagles Nest in Sullivan, Missouri.
Inurnment with military graveside services were held at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
