STE Communications to keep students connected with free Internet

With the temporary closure of the Steelville and Iron County C-4 school districts related to COVID-19 health recommendations, STE Communications will be offering families with students free Internet service through June 1. Families who live in communities of Steelville and Viburnum can receive Internet service at no cost to them, including installation, through a simple sign-up and installation process.

“Our goal is to support our educational leaders and parents as they make important decisions to preserve the health of the community and its families,” said STE Communications General Manager, Kevin Ancell. “Some families already have internet service in place in their homes, but it is our mission to ensure that all students in the communities we serve have access during this uncertain time.”
With Internet service available at home, students will be able to continue work on school projects, communicate with teachers, and take advantage of digital learning tools.
