Steelville Arts Council President Scott Perkins announced closure of the organization’s theater and galleries on Wednesday, March 18, along with cancellations and postponements of upcoming events.
Perkins noted, “The health and safety of its visitors, volunteers and artists is of the utmost importance to the Steelville Arts Council. We are closely monitoring the status of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our region and in the U.S.
“Under guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and regional health departments, the Steelville Arts Council is temporarily closing all three of its locations—Meramec Music Theatre, Gallery Zeke and Heartland Arts.
