After careful consideration and consulting with the Crawford County Health Department, the Community Center in Bourbon has announced it will only be open for limited use from March 20 through at least April 30.

The Senior Citizen Lunch Program will still be preparing take-out lunches only between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, until they notify of other plans. The Library is until April 6, tentatively. If they wish to be open beyond that date, they will need to limit the number of people who are in the library at any one time period and take appropriate sanitation precautions.
The Center will continue to clean and sanitize the other public areas of the building as needed to accommodate the limited users of the building. All rentals that were scheduled to occur during this period have either been canceled by the organizers of the events, or they are in the process of being contacted by the Center about their events.
The Center will be available for possible Red Cross Blood Drives, since they are currently experiencing a shortage of blood. The Crawford County Health Department has been notified that the Center could be made available for any purpose they might have. The Center has also offered its assistance in providing volunteers for any need the Health Department might have. And, the Center is always available as emergency space that might be needed.
On a positive note, the Center's event room is in the process of being updated. It is being freshly painted and decorated and will be ready to host events as soon as this crisis abates and it is safe for groups of family and friends to safely gather together again.
