The Phelps/Maries County Health Department issued the following released this morning about a possible COVID-19 exposure in Phelps County:
Part of the Phelps/Maries County Health Department’s duty to protect the public’s health, is informing of potential COVID-19 exposure in the community. We were notified by an adjoining county of the following risk to our jurisdiction.
Individuals at the following location on the date below are at low risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms.
Primary Symptoms include: Fever of 100.4 or higher, cough, and shortness of breath.
There is no need to self-quarantine or isolate unless symptoms develop. If you have spoken to a nurse at the Phelps/Maries County Health Department, you were already informed of your risk related to this individual.
Friday, April 3 Red Barn I-44 Surplus Discount Grocery around 2-2:30 p.m. The individual was there for approximately five to 10 minutes during that time frame and paid with a debit card. SEE RELATED STORY HERE.
