Chamber providing signs for open businesses

The St. James Chamber of Commerce is providing signs for open Chamber businesses to help indicate which businesses are still providing services during this time. Large signs with “We Are Open” have already been distributed to help customers easily identify which businesses are open.

“Beth (Gardener), our president, thought we should help restaurants that are going to be open and so we purchased signs for them. They are similar to what Rolla has,” Chamber of Commerce Director Robin Ziegler explained. The large signs can be set up in front of open businesses and will easily indicate they are open. Some businesses are including their phone numbers as well for curbside pickup and other services.
The Chamber hopes to help St. James businesses during this time when businesses are being impacted due to shelter in place orders and limited customer interaction. Businesses that remain open can use these as an easy way to communicate to those searching for food options or who need access to essential items.
“Chamber businesses that are still going to be open can put up a sign. It will kind of help promote themselves and say they are open,” Ziegler said. “It’s a way to help our Chamber businesses.”
Any Chamber member who is remaining open and doesn’t have a sign can contact Ziegler at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and a sign will be provided.
